Lichtwart wins PropTech Germany Award 2025

On September 11, 2025, we were honored with the PropTech Germany Award as the main winner and winner in the “Smart Building Efficiency” category. This recognition is not just a trophy on the shelf — it confirms what we have been saying for a long time: sustainability pays off — twice.

Our motto sums it up: “Lichtwart makes the Milky Way visible again – and reduces operating costs in the process.”
It sounds poetic – but it's measurable: our pilot customers are seeing savings of between 20 and 60 percent in lighting energy. How does it work? Through data-driven control, demand-oriented dimming, and a retrofit-friendly plug-and-play system that makes existing lights smart.

The national innovation hub blackprintpartners, based in Frankfurt, presented the PropTech Germany Award for the fifth time—the most important award for innovation drivers in the construction and real estate sector.

As part of the REAL Pitches at the Real Estate Arena Hannover, 217 PropTechs from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Canada presented their solutions on two stages.
A 50-member expert jury selected the winners in the individual categories and the overall winner at this largest European pitch event.

The jury praised the practical applicability and measurable economic impact of our solution. Our IoT platform makes existing lighting systems and aggregates intelligent, creates demand-oriented control, and delivers reliable data that operators can use to justify decisions and improve processes.
